Before the revolution, tower clocks were installed on bell towers in almost every province and region of the Russian Empire. At the moment, on the territory of modern Russia alone, we can say with confidence about the presence of earlier tower clocks on about 600 bell towers. Thanks to cooperation with the museums of the country, every year the study reveals new data on clocks and bell towers. At the moment, information has been collected on the clocks and bell towers of all regions of the Russian Federation, for example:

  • 40 objects in Moscow
  • 34 objects of the Yaroslavl region
  • 25 objects of the Tver region
  • 24 objects of the Nizhny Novgorod region
  • 23 objects in St. Petersburg
  • 21 objects of the Vladimir region
  • 18 objects of the Vologda region
  • 17 objects of the Kaluga region
  • 15 objects of the Arkhangelsk region
  • 15 properties in the Novgorod region
  • 12 objects of the Pskov region
  • 12 objects of the Sverdlovsk region
  • 12 objects in the Tula and many others
